This Privacy Policy explains how Minimal Phone - Block Apps (“Minimal Phone,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App.

We designed Minimal Phone with privacy in mind. Minimal Phone does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal data from your use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data from users of Minimal Phone.

We do not collect or store information such as:

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Physical address

  • Contacts

  • Precise location

  • Browsing history

  • Personal messages

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Screen Time activity for our own servers

  • Lists of apps selected for blocking for our own servers

Minimal Phone does not sell personal information or user data.

2. Screen Time and Family Controls

Minimal Phone uses Apple-provided technologies to provide app blocking, scheduling, usage management, and related functionality.

These technologies may include:

  • Family Controls

  • Managed Settings

  • Device Activity

  • Screen Time APIs

  • Other related Apple frameworks

When you select apps, websites, or categories to manage, this functionality is handled using Apple's system frameworks and permissions.

We do not use your Screen Time selections to create advertising profiles, and we do not sell this information.

3. App and Website Selections

Minimal Phone may allow you to select apps, categories, or websites that you want to block or manage.

These selections are used only to provide the functionality requested by you, such as applying app restrictions, schedules, reminders, or other focus features.

We do not collect these selections on our servers.

4. Blocking Schedules

When you create a blocking schedule, information such as selected days, times, and applicable restrictions may be stored on your device so that the App can perform the requested functionality.

We do not collect your blocking schedules on our servers.

5. In-App Reminders and Mindful Launch Features

Minimal Phone may allow you to configure reminders, usage limits, or delays before accessing selected apps.

Configuration information required for these features may be stored locally on your device.

We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or tracking.

6. Notification Permissions

Minimal Phone may request permission to send notifications when necessary to provide reminders or other functionality requested by you.

Apple's operating system controls notification permissions.

You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

We do not collect your notification content.

7. Local Data Storage

Settings and configuration information necessary for Minimal Phone to operate may be stored locally on your device.

This may include information such as:

  • Blocking preferences

  • Schedule configurations

  • Reminder settings

  • App preferences

  • Premium status or purchase-related state necessary to enable purchased functionality

Locally stored information is used to provide the App's functionality and is not collected by us.

Deleting the App may remove locally stored information, subject to iOS behavior and any information maintained separately by Apple.

8. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Minimal Phone offers optional premium functionality through purchases made using Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple.

We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

Apple manages payment processing, billing, subscription renewal, cancellation, and applicable transaction information according to Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

9. Tracking and Advertising

Minimal Phone does not use your personal information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

We do not sell your information to advertisers or data brokers.

We do not use your Screen Time information, selected apps, blocking schedules, or usage preferences for targeted advertising.

10. Third-Party Services

Minimal Phone relies on certain services and technologies provided by Apple that are necessary to distribute and operate the App.

These may include:

  • Apple App Store

  • StoreKit and In-App Purchases

  • Screen Time APIs

  • Family Controls

  • Device Activity

  • Managed Settings

  • iOS system services

Apple's handling of information through its services is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.

11. Children's Privacy

Minimal Phone does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because we do not collect personal information from users through the App, we do not knowingly maintain personal information belonging to children.

12. Data Security

Because Minimal Phone does not collect your personal information on our servers, your App settings and Screen Time-related configurations generally remain within the applicable device and Apple system environment.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, passcode, and other device credentials.

13. Data Retention

We do not maintain a server-side database containing your personal Screen Time data, selected apps, blocking schedules, or other personal usage information.

Information stored locally by the App remains subject to your device and operating system behavior.

You may remove locally stored App information by deleting the App, subject to information independently retained by Apple or iOS.

14. Your Privacy Choices

You control the permissions granted to Minimal Phone.

Depending on the features you use, you may manage permissions through your iOS settings, including:

  • Screen Time or Family Controls authorization

  • Notification permissions

  • Other applicable system permissions

Revoking a permission may cause features that depend on that permission to stop functioning.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, applicable laws, or our privacy practices change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
